Cooke County has been designated a Federal Disaster for damage received as a result of the tornado. Impacted residents are encouraged to call 1-800-621-3362 or log in to https://www.disasterassistance.gov/ for assistance
This is the hotline number to call to get the need posted. 469-214-3315. Citizens in need can call this line. Responding organizations can also get help here.

All affected residents of Cooke County should be reminded to apply directly for FEMA assistance
HUD approved counselors who can provide debt relief, help with claims through FEMA and insurance, etc. They provide ongoing follow-up services. Services also available in Spanish.

LANWT (Legal Aid of Northwest Texas) is a non-profit law firm that serves 114 counties in North and West Texas providing free legal services to low-income qualifying individuals. The DLSU works with local LANWT offices to respond to disasters by providing free legal information to disaster survivors. This one-page flyer consists of information on the types of legal issues we can help eligible clients with.
If you are located in a declared disaster area, you may be eligible for financial assistance from the U.S. Small Business Administration(SBA)
Residents of Cooke County may be eligible for disaster assistance under FEMA’s Individuals and Households Program. Eligible applicants may qualify for serious needs assistance, basic home repairs, personal property losses and other eligible expenses related to storm damage. Survivors can apply to FEMA in several ways including online at https://www.disasterassistance.gov/

A team has been set up to connect those wishing to provide assistance with those needing assistance.
